               At the end of this activity participants should be able to: 

  1. Summarize the current pattern of malpractice claims in pathology including contributing factors
  2. Review  a case study of a diagnostic error
  3. Recommend risk mitigation strategies to reduce patient harm
  4. Identify emerging trends in patient safety and malpractice risks
